About Match Finder
Players are always being measured: exit velo, spin rate, 60 times. Match Finder gives them similar metrics but on how college programs perform for the student-athlete.
We put the factors that affect the student-athlete experience in one place. It rates 644 NCAA baseball programs across D1, D2 and D3 on up to 11 factors, including academic reputation, graduate earnings, net cost, coaching stability, program budget, winning records and location. With it, families set how much each factor counts, and the rankings change to match. No player stats needed.
Match Finder is built for high school players and their families, and it’s also useful for JUCO and transfer players considering a new four-year program. It draws on up to six seasons of data (2021–2026), from roughly 200,000 records such as game results and roster entries. Recruiting isn’t one-size-fits-all, and your target list of schools shouldn’t be either.
Match Finder contributors include a college coach, a recruiting coordinator, market research experts, and high-school prospects and their families. The model behind it was designed by CoJoMojo.
How this differs from a ranking
| Type | Typical focus | What Match Finder adds |
|---|---|---|
| Baseball rankings | Wins, talent, SOS | Winning (schedule-adjusted in D1) is one factor among several |
| University rankings | Selectivity, reputation, academics | Academic reputation counts, and so does the baseball experience |
| Match Finder | Both, plus cost, earnings, coaching stability, location and transfers | You decide how much each factor counts |
